Hey all,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z570. My wife was using it earlier and it shut off during the middle of a movie, it will not turn back on. I get no response at all when I hit the power button. I noticed the led on the power adapter is blinking an amber light rapidly and nonstop. I have removed the ram to see if I could atleast get a beep code when trying to turn on, nothing. I tried holding the power button down for around a minute both with and without the power adapter plugged in to ground any electricity. It will not start up with the battery removed and power adapter plugged in.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks for any and all feedback!

try it, maybe they can repair it for change even out of warranty. you can find helps on how to disassemble it but - not to be rude - you may do more damage then good and you would still need the replacement hardware for what broke.

I was looking for a bit more insight from others who have had a similar issue. I am a tech and have changed out mobo's and many other parts from laptops, just not often, I typically service desktops. I have narrowed it down to either a mobo issue or a problem with the battery (but since it doesn't come on with the battery removed and ac adapter plugged in, I am about to rule that out). Mainly, I want to know if the rapid blinking light on the power brick is a type of error code, it only blinks when I plug it into the laptop, when unplugged it stays lit (amber color).
