If you install the same program, will it replace itself? I installed a newer version of ccleaner through a website but i dont know if it replace itself

Probably, yes. Most applications will overwrite themselves with a new version. I haven't tried it with CCleaner.

Provided you always accept the default installation path for the application, or you always use the same custom installation path, it will overwrite the existing installation, and that includes Ccleaner.

although this is the easiest way to update a program. it always best to manually uninstall the outdated program and reinstall the new one. Thats the best way to do it, with small applications anyway, I probably wouldn't do it with a large program, but im lazy.
