First off im sorry if this has been asked before but i have been searching for an answer to this for weeks. I have an Acer Aspire 7551-2818 laptop that is approximately 2-3 years old. It has been a very good laptop but until recently i have left it with my father. He is not very computer savy so i am not sure what might have happened but the computer works as normal for awhile but will at random times shut completely down. When the shutdown happens it will cut off with no power or lights showing even when plugged in to the wall. Pushing the power button does nothing. If i wait 2-5 minutes the computer charge light will relight up and i can power it on again.
Things i have tried/checked.
I wiped the computer and reinstalled windows...(little out there based on the issue but i tried anyways.)
I started checking temperatures however even under strain the temperatures never go above 48*C. (I use a cooling pad and the temperature never gets hot.)
Any help someone can provide me would be very much appreciated.
