Overheating then Shuts down. HELP ME Mr. IT People!!!

i have a Lenovo G405s laptop with spec AMD A8-5550M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.10 ghz and 8gb ram. whenever i play games like Skyrim or MK9 my laptop gets really hot and shuts down in about 10 to 20 min. I change the graphics to the lowest but still same thing happen. Bought a Cooler Master fan but still heats like an oven (nothing changed). What is really the problem here? it says elite quad-core and dual graphics but i don't feel like it when i play skyrim..

the bios link that you gave was for windows 8. mine is windows 7. also my laptop have this Dust Removal feature. i dont see any dust on the vent of my laptop so i guess it worked but i have used it before and it doesnt really change anything. still overheat and shutdown

yea i wanted to send this laptop back to the shop but my brother said this laptop wasn't meant for gaming that's why it keeps overheats and shutdown. so i just wanted to know if what my brother said was true. is my processor too low for gaming? or maybe the RAM or what ever?

Regardless what a machine is designed to to it will only ever perform at its best, the fact of the matter is if a machine could not perform to the best of its ability then it's defective.

Would you buy a tv that you could only use for and hour before having to turn it off, and under the sales of good act items must be fit for purpose.

i get back to you after i'm done with the warranty thingy. lets see what the shop guy have to say about it.

mine also have the same problem, i think its the bug of this laptop :3 the cpu fan is not working when you use power saver or balance, and it would turned on if you choose high perform and speed up the fan with the dust removal function, then the fan will remain on, you can hear the sound ... hope this help,
