Its kind of difficult to explain this.

So I have a laptop, model is the Acer 4935G running on Vista. I can't turn it on. The laptop just turns off everytime it goes to the windows boot up screen. Then when I turn it on, it gives me 2 options, Run startup repair or run windows normally, either option don't work for me.

However, if I access the bios, it doesn't even turn off at all. So, I suspect its the hard drive problem or there's something wrong with my installation of windows or the windows files., but then again, I might be wrong.

Acer does not give a recovery disk.

And if its really a problem with windows, can I save the data by using a hard disk enclosure and can I install Windows again on that hard disk?

Can someone tell me the problem and how do I solve it?

It sounds like your Vista install needs repair. If you can get it to start up using the bios as you mentioned then go into the start menu and run the Acer eRecovery Management program. Select the burn disk button and then create factory default disk using a DVD.

You can backup all your data and use that disk to return the laptop to factory default, or you can do a startup repair.

I can't startup using the bios, what I meant was I could access the bios for hours without the laptop turning off, however I can't even get past the windows bootup, even with start up repair.

Sorry for the misunderstanding though.

But can I use the hard disk enclosure to back up my data then after that fix my windows through another computer? Or it has to be from startup repair? Can't I just format the hard disk? I can't use startup repair at all since it still has to go through windows bootup which I can't past.

Your problem is that you are using Vista and really need either a full installer disk or an Acer recovery disk. Unfortunately, unlike Windows 7 you cannot just download an installer disk from Digital River. Using another machine won't help other than to get your data, since you don't have the Acer recovery disk. I would contact Acer support and see if you can download a recovery disk from them.
