Hi everyone!I have a lg home theater and i need some help.My home cinema has an hdmi port and i want to watch movies from my laptop so i hook up my laptop to my tv via hdmi cable but i cant hook a second hdmi from my tv to the home theater(although my tv has 2 hdmi ports)because they will play in different channels..So what i do is plug the laptop to the tv with HDMI and the tv to the home cinema with a regular aux sound cable..The problem is that the sound that comes out is 3 channeled instead of 6.Can anyone please help me on how to get all 3 fixed?Thank you in advance
PS:My tv doesnt have optic cable availability

Options

1) Why don't you hook your laptop up to the home theater and then pass through to the TV? Of the few home theaters I've had experience with they will take several inputs, switch between them and pass onto the tv the input you have selected.
2) Does your tv support coaxial digital output? Any half decent home theater should support a coxial digital input.
3) If you laptop has an optical output this can be connected to the home theater.

It does help. Sadly, it's not as capable as I had thought. Your home theatre only seems to accept analogue 2 channel audio input from an external source other than usb.

When you next play a movie why not try changing the surround sound mode (the manual make reference to a EQ/LG EQ button and toggling it with < > buttons). This won't be proper surround sound that you would get from a DVD or Blue-ray but it might give you a version you can use.

I will add though. Your amplifier isn't playing 3 channel, it's 2.1. It's this because it's left + right which are the 2 channels and the subwoofer which is counter as the ".1" because it doesn't cover the full range of frequencies.
