My 6 years laptop is dying on me, so I am in need of an upgrade.

Price Range: Max $800

I will be using the laptop for surfing the internet doing school work and gaming. I would like if the laptop could run games like battlefield 4 without any problems. I am not picky on the brand just want something reliable and will last me at least four year.

y510p is just a 15" y410p. It has better slightly hardware (in theory), but is bigger and more expensive

Otherwise they are fairly similar, it's up to you which size you want

I would advise looking for one of these.

They are great performance for the cost. I think Amazon sometimes sells them a little cheaper so I would get the best one of these you can afford in your price range.

CPU and Graphics should be able to do everything you want, but you might want to try to find a higher resolution one for cheaper. I personally don't mind playing at 1366x768 but some people do.

For your price level they are exactly the same. The y410p are just smaller. For the more expensive models the y510p gets double graphics cards and the y410p does not, but you will not see this at a low price point. I think the cheapest with two graphics is $1000.

I like having a number pad so I get 15" always, but if that is not important to you, go for the 14" because you can get a higher resolution screen for cheaper.

They show up, but they are more expensive than getting it through lenovo. Comparing the model with just the higher resolution screen upgrade with a similar model on amazon was $100 more
