whats wrong with my screen??

hey everyone, does anyone out there know whats wrong with my screen

its from a dell mini 910 netbook. I tried it on an external monitor and found the same problem. It originally had ubuntu on it, so i decided to install win 7 on it to see if this would be different but the problem still persists. The mouse doesn't seem to work either which may or may not be related.

Could it be a graphics card problem? I don't think its the monitor since the external monitor is the same. Please help!

look like it is the gpu chipset but since the mouse do not work could be something else in the system on the power ,try to do a cmos reset by unpluging the ac and removing the battery after restart only with battery on not using the ac .

Found a fix!! Opened it up and turned out the mouse cable had come loose. After a bit more investigation I found someone with the same issue, and they said to disable the intel driver display, and it worked. The resolution was the problem. I only have 800x600 display now, but thats all i need! Thanks for your help though

see another thing that this model have graphic driver for linux or xp no win 7 and they had bios update in 2011 http
