So I recorded a video that is about 13 minutes long. But when I put the recording into Sony Vegas pro, it shows it as 33 seconds.. I really need to know what's wrong cause I need to make YouTube content. I have watched my recording back and there is no lag in the recording at all or frames drops. So someone please help me?

Solution
You might want to read this - http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/956260 . It directly addresses the problem. The solution suggested there is to use a program like AviDemux (http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/) to convert the file into something that Vegas can work with, such as mp4. Other programs to consider are MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) and Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/). It appears as though Vegas, or at least some versions, have trouble working with .m2ts files.
Another suggestion I read was to uninstall and reinstall Vegas: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/873871
