Which RAM should I use?

Hello Everyone,

Simple question for you.
Which RAM configuration should I go with.

Option 1:
1x4GB 1600Mhz @9-9-9-24 (Might be 9-10-10-24 RAM sticks say 09-10)
1x2GB Same as above

Option 2:
1x4GB Same as Above
1x4GB 1600Mhz @11-11-11-28-2T

Together they run at 1333Mhz@ 9-9-9-24-1T. No options to play with RAM settings.

Option 3:
Sell it all and buy better RAM.

My laptop came with 6GB of the 1600Mhz@11-11-11 in a two stick configuration with one only have 2GB, but it was slow as can be to boot and for some other small functions. I got a bad laptop to part out with the option 1 RAM in it. I put the two 4GB sticks in together and it booted quickly, but I am not sure if I should go and try to sell them to buy 2x4GB sticks of the same type with 1600Mhz @9-9-9-24 or if I should just live with the current setup.

Thanks.

Solution
you should definitely go for 8 GB Ram unless you aren't doing gaming or something that needs ram
(like hundreds of tabs open in firefox)
If you choose to keep your current to 4 GB, I would say option 1, 1x4 GB.

I am doing moderately light gaming, but my laptop has a Geforce GT 620M and 1GB ram so its pretty good for that. I think you are right and I will stick with the 8GB cause I just don't think I will lose much speed between 1333 and 1600 Mhz.

Thanks for the insights :)
