sorry.. never used them.

from what i've heard on here... sennheiser also makes some decent headphones but you would be better off reading some reviews, some customer reviews on amazon and the like.
i have a pair of ath-m50s (m50s= straight cable, m50= coiled cable)

great pair of headphones. completely blows away bose (though bose is synonomous with crap) as well as some other headphones i've had in the past. the build quality is no joking matter either as it has at least an 1/8 inch thick cable while bose and other manufacturers are using something between 1/32 and 1/16 which breaks too easily. the headphones while plastic are also very solid.

i've used them for gaming, movies, youtube and music. some styles i listen to..
dubstep, electronica, classic rock, rock, hard rock, metal, heavy metal, death metal, hair metal, screamo, vocals, pop, and in general just about everything except for country, classical music and most rap.

they perform admirably across the board at least to my ears.

they also are not very high resistance so can be driven with not just your pc but also your phone and ipod or mp3 player unlike some other headphones which require a fiio (portable amplifier)

i 2nd ssddx's rec on the ATH-M50. they're amazing. and i appreciate sennheiser just as much as most audiophiles, but for their price range, the m50s are basically unbeatable.

i havent tested the 380s but i know their 350 / 360 / 280 models well and although they do make excellent midrange cans, the m50 has a wider, more balanced soundstage.

good luck and happy listening!
