Some keys on my Acer Aspire 5551-2805 are faulty. This isn't the first time my keyboard has done this. Previously, some keys (which I have since forgotten) have stopped working properly (either producing the wrong character(s) or no character at all). I have, previously, restored my computer in attempt to fix the problem and was unsuccessful. However, over time the keys began to function normally again (they did this own their own without any tweaking/troubleshooting). The keys stayed working for a while (2-5 weeks). Now, different keys (as well as some of the previously “problematic” keys) are not functioning properly (either producing the wrong character or no character at all). Recently (within the last 72 hours), all letter keys stopped working and would only produce an “a,” “v,” or “av.” The backspace key stopped working at this time and wouldn’t delete anything. Later, I turned my computer on and most of the keys were working again except for a certain few. I have never spilled anything (liquid nor food/crumbs) on my keyboard, dropped/damaged my laptop, or had any viruses/spyware/malware/etc. I forgot to mention that the mouse/touch-pad has also become faulty (although it does work properly at times). Any advice/help would be much appreciated.
