Akai Home Theater for PC

I have my old Akai SS800w 5.1 home theater which was connected to my DVD player. I wanna connect this to my PC. My PC has 5.1 Channel support but I could only connect the HT with a 3.5mm to Red/White cable.

The speakers are working fine but there is no surround.. All he speakers are shouting at once..

Please help!

If it's a 5.1 system, then there should be a Co-ax input on it or a TOSlink on it.... a similar output would be needed on the PC , which if it's a new Mobo will have a TOS link.... get a toslink cable from somewhere there, they're relatively cheap about 600 to 900 bucks for 1.5 meters.
Then it ought to work, though you'll need the Chipset Software for the Audio chip on the Mobo to get it to work.
After that you'll need a little bit of brain work and then you ought to be fine
