it looks like the major difference in the specs you listed is the processor, personally i would choose the haswell over the touch screen. As far as brand vs brand, its an open argument. every brand makes crappy computers, and every brand has incredible computers. Im sure you would be happy with either though

Bear in mind a gaming laptop has no room for upgrade, and in about 2 or 3 years it'll start to fall behind in performance as games demand more

Thanks! I thought of that one too. That's why I'm still thinking if I would buy a desktop instead. I'm planning to get one with the following specs:
i5 3470 with 4GB DDR3 1333
500 GB HDD
Powercolor HD 7770 1GB DDR5 128 bit
MSI H61M-P31(G3)
AVR is ?????

Could you tell me if that would work as a gaming desktop? I'm very new at creating one. And if a cheap AVR would be a good option?

Never mind that. :) I decided to get a laptop instead but still I don't know what. Do you have any good gaming laptop in mind that could fit my budget?

Asus laptops you mentioned above have 'U' series processor which means they are under-volted & with this processor gaming will be worse!!

Toshiba is compromise of a built quality & worse value brand.

If you want a gaming laptop than you can go with 3rd Gen i5 processor & a decent GFU with it & with this you may be save some money as 4th gen processor the expensive right now.

Have a look at this Lenovo

Or this asus (http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/view+classifieds/id/25280375/ASUS+15.6%22+i7-3610M+8GB+750GB+A55VD-AH71+nVIDIA+GT610M+Laptop?referralKeywords=i7&event=Search+Ranking,Position,2-52,252)

Now, which is better between the two?

Thanks

Personally i have no faith on HP laptops\Desktops.
most of the hp computers i used, they burned itself or died with hardware failure & hp laptops have very bad cooling, stays hot.

Look at this

Yes. It's about 50,000 pesos. I can go as much as 40,000 pesos only. I've already made a decision and I plan to get an Asus X550LB. I just want to play NBA2k14 with it. Do you think I made a good choice?

I don't think you will have any trouble because your games will bottleneck at the GPU, not the CPU. But being a Haswell processor they operate ~20% more power efficient than previous processors, so i wonder how much of a difference the "U" identifier will actually make. There is so much more to Processors than just Gigahertz, and how many core's it has, i don't think it'll be a problem.

As far as the GPU, you should be able to play just about anything on high settings, but no the "M" versions of GPU's are much weaker, they typically have the same technologies and advancements, just less core's to allow for laptop cooling and power consumption.
