Word not displaying any toolbars?

Hi!

I'll be quick here, basically my grans laptop has office 2000 on, and she asked me to take a look at word for her. It's not displaying any toolbars, only the page and rulers, and alt+v does nothing. What is the problem?

It might be in full-screen mode, try pressing <Esc> to get out of it.

Hi!

I've tried that, first thing I did. Lol. Also tried Alt+V to open the view tab, along with the other associated ALT shortcuts, and nothing works. =/

If you make another Windows user, how does Word operate there?

If I try a guest account Word is fine, so there's obviously a user defined setting that's been changed somewhere along the line.

Try replacing the Normal.dot with the one in the guest account or simply delete it.
