Acer Aspire 4810T Upgrade to Windows 8/8.1

Hi Anyone Reading this

Does Anyone know if you can upgrade the Acer Aspire 4810T to Windows 8 and if you the standard windows drivers will work or if any of the windows 7 drivers will work as i have lost the serial code and disc for my installation of windows 7 that is currently on the system and want to upgrade to windows 8,

OSes will run basic systems, and I'm sure that your Acer can run Win8 and 8.1 since it ran Win7. If your laptop does not have an optical drive, download here: http

AS for the drivers, I'm not sure, but if you're unsure or encounter problems, just get drivers off of the Internet.

the thing im looking to know is will i be able to get the Realtek Driver for windows 8 and Acer has some programs like power management. i would like but aren't essential. so do you know anying about that.

Looks like Win8 Realtek driver versions are the same as Win7 versions, assuming that you are looking for the audio driver for the audio chip.

As for those Acer stuff, I looked at Acer's official website for driver support and your laptop has no options for Win8 drivers.

Given that there is a lot of uncertainty over the compatibility of old drivers in Win8, I'd dissuade you with going ahead with your plan to avoid wasting cash on potentially botched upgrade.
