Hello! :)

I have this Li-ion Battery...

Battery ID: 19374PanasonicAS10D51
Manufacturer: Panasonic
Serial Number: 19374
Chemistry : LION
Long Term: 1

I always use my laptop Plugged-in and with Battery always at Full Charge, I never plug it out even at full charge and continue using it... and i Don't take the battery out.

Reason for me is in case the electricity is out, i still have a spare-time, with the battery being the back-up. I never plug it out because it tires me to plug it back (the battery drains fast). I always use my laptop for gaming.

Will i get any problem? overcharging? battery health? Possible outcomes/issues?

Thank you...

Studies have shown that battery life actually does decrease the long the battery is at full charge. The theory is that the longer the battery has a high charge the more likely the lithium will "crystalize" forming lithium plates. Lithium plates cannot hold a charge, therefore the more plates there are the shorter the battery life. This is why many current laptops will only charge the battery to 50% - 80% depending on the manufacturer. To get the battery to fully charge you would need to manually override the default power options on the laptop.

You should not get any problems. You cannot overcharge the battery because it stops receiving charge when it reaches 100%. However, running it off the battery now and then until it dies can extend the battery life. What will harm the battery is excessive heat.

You won't overcharge it, but you will kill it much much quicker, and this is my understanding of why: Every few seconds, as power is drawn, it will top it up again. Batteries tend to wear out after each charge, and this is basically several recharges in a sitting.

I could be wrong about why, but I know for sure you should not use it plugged in 24/7. I know at least 4 people personally who have killed their batteries and cannot unplug their laptops for more than a second without it dying. I also know someone who fried some internal connectors, so the battery can't physically even charge, even when a new battery was stuck in.

Some laptops have a feature where they will only charge to 80 or 50% and in theory this will save it from being worn out while left plugged in. There may be 3rd party apps you can get for this.

It was a Sony Vaio laptop that came with the program in the care suite thingy. You'd have the same chance finding somrthing on google as I would.
