Okay so I have a "latitude e5530"...I wanted to switch out RAM modules...never opened up LAPTOP only desktop before, with my IT cousin.
This time, opened up screws, but put cover back on cuz it was like 10 pm and I couldn't screw it back that time...

came back from school, picked it up as if nothing was wrong with the laptop...tried to turn it on...power light came on...felt like it was gonna start, but THE LIGHT TURNED OFF BUT THE OTHER LIGHTS CAME ON?

perhaps ESD

So i screwed everything back together, HDD spun around, i heard the fans...same thing happened.

just ruined a good 700$ (granted, it WAS prebuiltXD)...seriously tho...what to dO?

It may be the RAM as it was very difficult to put back in, and I'm not completely sure that it IS back in even now.

Solution
Remove the power adapter and the battery. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs (discharging any residual power).

Remove the memory. Carefully re-install it and secure the cover, including the screws.

Re-install the battery and reconnect the AC adapter. Try starting again.
