So, after using my laptop for a while, I accidentally left my mouse's unifying receiver in my USB port and then put it in my backpack. When I took it out, my usb port was bent into the casing, and, needless to say, wouldn't work. My question is, do you have any experience with the HP dv4 series, and do you know how I could replace the usb port on my laptop.

Solution
It can be done, however, it requires experience with a soldering iron, de-soldering equipment and complete laptop dis-assembly.

If you came into my shop, it would be about $80 worth of labor/parts :)

I must also note that I would prefer to not have to replace my mobo, since it has a discreet Nvidia 630M built in to it.

No, they're on the opposite side by the headphone/microphone jacks.
