Audio recording cuts out words.

I have a Blue Snowball and no matter what I record on, the audio cuts out a word or two all other the place. I thought it was me needing a pop filter but that hasn't improved it.

I've used audacity, elgato live recording and sony vegas but my Audio commentary always has words cut out.

Any idea what I need to do to try resolve the issue.

Just an update. I tried to record today, and I'm sure it's something with Sony Vegas Pro which is causing the problem. I recorded in Audacity and everything sounded fine. When I went to put it on a Sony Vegas video, the audio now cuts out in places when I rendered it.
