1. What is your budget?
Want to stay around $1200. Can go higher.
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Hopefully a 17 inch
3. What screen resolution do you want?
Prefer 1900x1080 or higher
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I was thinking of making it my all purpose computer.
5. How much battery life do you need?
As much as possible unless its way too expensive. Possibly buy an extra battery?
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
HIGH - Final Fantasy 14 Reborn
HIGH - Blade and Soul
Basically I would like to play most of my games on high settings with no problems EVER.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
2D/3D production like extensive photoshop, 3D modeling/animation, possibly HQ rendering with video/audio production
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
As much as possible. (Don't mind picking up an external if needed)
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
So far newegg.com is the only site I've been checking out. Will check out other suggestions.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
As long as possible
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Maybe bluray? Need DVD and DVD R/RW capabilities at least.
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Seagate and Western Digital are s**t. I'm fine with others.
