I have a gift card for my local NCIX.com store and some money from my recent birthday that I would like to spend on a new gaming laptop. Size, weight and looks are not an issue. I am looking for something that has the best performance within my budget.

I have done a bit of digging myself and have been quite fond of a few of the laptops listed below.

  • MSI GE60 or GE70
    MSI GE40
    ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA

Please suggest more as I am new to laptop specs and hardware. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been impressed with what I have seen of MSI's laptops, if it were my choice to make, I'd get the MSI GE60 2OE-002US since it has an optical drive and the 14" model does not. Also the cooling will be better on the 15.6" machine.
I think the GTX765M will rock most games with settings at or near "high" maybe not ultimate settings on many but I'd think the settings would be 'good enough' for enjoyable gameplay

edit: This may also be telling about the two MSI models, the 14" features a 90W power adapter while the 15.6" has a 120W power adapter
I think the better way would be for you to link the models you are interested in since hardware may vary. We should be able to give you an idea of the best bang for your buck. The games you play most often can also prove to be helpful information

yes, i know they are both msi, but I have only come across msi laptops in this price range to be the most bang for buck, but I am also not sure that this is the case because i have little knowledge in the field of mobile graphics cards and their capabilities.

Also this one seems good too?

I would be playing games that are pretty graphically intensive. I'm used to playing games on my desktop which has dual gtx 670's, 16 gb of ram and a i7 2600k. I know this will be hard to achieve in my price range, but I would like to get as close to high settings on most games if it is possible.
