I'm trying to find a cable to extend this fan's reach from one side of the copper block to the other. As shown in the photo I took, one of the motherboard's 3pin slots has stopped working after 5 years of wear however the one on the opposite side is still working. The cable is too small to wrap around and I have not been able to find an extension for this size. I can't flip the cooler around either since I have nowhere to screw it in if I do. Any suggestions on how to get such a cable is greatly appreciated. If not, perhaps a replacement fan that would fit that same setup?

you will not be able to get the wires back into the little connector.

Just cut right down the middle between the fan and the connector, the black part looks like heatshrink and it should come off.

I told you it will not look pretty but it should work.

I have never seen an extension for this type of connector.

how about cutting the wires and extending them? you could twist them or better solder them, and use either electrical tap or heatshrink to cover each splice.

this is not the most elegant way but it works.

Would I basically cut the wires right before that square white plastic holder then extend them with more wiring and try to connect them one by one to the pins? What I was worried was if I cut that, I don't think I'd be able to put the wires back into the plastic holder since they're so small and hard to manipulate. And I wouldn't want them touching either.
