AMD Quad-Core A8-5550M Accelerated Processor
or
Intel i5?

I cant afford anything over $800 including tax :p I'm not a hard core gamer, but I do like to play a little League of legends and world of warcraft...
Or if anyone knows a good cheapish laptop :) that would be great... thanks :p

Solution
anyone who ever suggest an intel graphics chip for a gaming laptop wasn't paying attention. trust me, the end user experience is vastly different from the benching results. it's choppy and nearly unplayable due to the terrible driver support. intel hd graphics is fine if you are websurfing but even iris is little more then an expensive waste of time as long as the drivers remain so worthless.

do you have a monitor/mouse/keyboard/operating system/case............. anything?.. and if so, what is it ( specifically )

for your budget you can get an i5 and a discreet graphics card that will play well.

A little more info would help a lot.........

The A8-5550m has the integrated Radeon HD 8550g. It is not AMD's most powerful iGPU, but it is still good for the price that you pay... However, it is not more powerful than all Intel iGPUs.

Assuming you are considering a laptop with Intel's current generation Haswell mobile CPU, then there are basically 4 different Intel iGPUs; HD 4200, HD 4400, HD 5000, HD 4600. The Radeon HD 8550g is faster than the HD 4200. The HD 4400 is considered to be pretty decently close to the Radeon. However, both the HD 5000 and HD 4600 are more powerful than the Radeon HD 8550g.

I listed the Intel HD 5000 before the HD 4600 because the HD 4600 is in fact the more powerful of the two. The HD 5000 is only found in ultrabooks using Intel's "u" CPU model which consumes less power than the "m" CPU models.

Therefore, my question is which Intel i5?
