best hard hitting bass 7.1 gaming headset ?

Im trying to find a good gaming head set with a great mic and hard hitting bass that supports good 7.1 or 5.1 surround sound. I can pay as much as needed to get this. But i would not mind hearing about cheap alternatives that are just as good.

I currently have a pair of razor ti-mat 7.1s and the bass is a little sad on them.

The things most important to me.
Good sounding mic.
5.1+ that has good positional audio, for pointing out gun fire in a fps.
Hard hitting bass.

I have these and they are terrible for bass, great gaming headset and amazingly clear mic but when listening to hard bass music and big explosions they just cant hack it. Im actually looking at changing mine because the bass is so poor, I hear that creative headsets are great for bass and a great gaming headset to.

Defiantly go with afterglows!!! They have wicked nice bass! The headphones will like shake off your head and they sound really good for gaming! Like if a grenade went off next to u in a game the bass is still really good and will shake ur head. They are like 90$ but i love them

if you have the budget for it...

a decent soundcard running dolby headphone and good amped headphone jack combined with a pair of studio headphones like the dt770pro with a modmic attached to the side.

thats going to offer quite a big leap in bass over any normal usb headsets. better sound quality too.

yea i have a pair of beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO 250 ohm i have a really good sound card the
ASUS Xonar Essence STX and the bass is really week. says it has a headphone amp for up to 600 ohms. Would getting a headphone tube amp for them make the bass hit harder?

perhaps mess with the gain option they mention for their stx? that card should be able to handle those headphones.

bass levels should be sufficient. perhaps not as deep as the dt770pro 80 can hit (which is pretty bassy) or anywhere near the levels basscannons can provide but certainly good enough for all but complete bassheads and without muddying up the sound at all.

you might also get a bit more bass by setting your soundcard properties in windows sound to 192000hz 24bit in the advanced tab.

also check your equalizer if you use one. you can set it for a more bassy profile such as electronica if you prefer more bass.

if nothing works, try them with a different source to see if you notice if they appear better/worse.
