Do you think, this video card can be replaced by me?

I have a Lenovo T 61P 6459CTO. Last year it stopped working. I was in India. My college junior owns a computer service center near where I live. He did a favor to me looking at my laptop. He said that the (nvidia) video card is done. He did something to get the system running temporarily. But he said, it will again die anytime. He helped to do backup. As he said, it did die in few days. We couldn't get the right video card to replace when I was there. Glad if I had done so.
Laptop is out of warranty. So I cannot go to a service center here in US. Not much money to get a new one.
Here are more details:
In the laptop parts it says that it has NVID Qua FX570M-256 MB Op. GL.
It also says nVIDI Qua FX 570M w/WW, AMT QTY

I got the laptop when I was in good condition and all. Its worth a lot to trash it just for this.
I would like to do a replace myself if it is possible. Since I am completely a new one to do laptop dis-assembly and so on... I would like to ask experts here.

There are few questions.
Can I purchase like this from amazon for this replacement? Here is a link:
http://www.amazon.com/Nvidia-Quadro-FX570-256MB-Pcie/dp/B000XR87X2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380567181&sr=8-1&keywords=Quadro+FX+570M

This does not look like a laptop part.

I do not know if it will be feasible to get this video card from online.
Then I do not know if it will be replaceable in the motherboard.

So ---> would it be simpler, if I get the whole mother board or a old laptop of the same kind from ebay for under 200, remove the card and do it myself?

Some samples are:

Or another one:

Or a this one:

Any advice is great...

I dont think you can replace (its not like a desktop) the card it is soldered on if its like 99% of laptops the only thing is to replace the board or get another working laptop and just swap hard drives. its not a card but a chip that is part of the main board.

thanks for the reply. i will try the motherboard option first. got this laptop for couple thousand with warranty. too unwilling to throw it. and i did not use it for almost 1.5 years due to personal health issues.
new laptops close to that configuration cost a lot.
lesson learned - lot of risk by getting expensive laptops even with warranty....in this case, warranty only adds more to the risk...
doing some research on new laptops and could not yet settle for laptops under 500.
if this costs around 250 total... i would like to choose this alternate mother board route.

where would you buy a motherboard for Lenovo T61p 6459CTO?
I do not know the difference between T61 and T61P.

Let us see.
