Sounds like power supply problem typically caused by low temperature capacitors with marginal voltage rating. The capacitors which are cylindrical will look inflated or may even have leaked. A tech can repair this or a new board could be installed. If the caps are replaced I would suggest 105 degree instead of 85 and at least half more than the existing voltage ratings.
A replacement board if available will not have the upgrades but would be easier for you to install yourself.
