Hi all,

So recently I recovered my nb200 from the basement and when I booted it up, windows xp was extremely slow. I decided I wanted to re install windows. All was fine, I ran winnt32.exe and it installed a fresh windows for me. But it was lettered D:. This is when the problem started, I may have formatted the C: drive and I forgot to move the boot.ini files. As soon as I realized that, I made my own and I think I did it incorrectly.

So now when ever it boots, there is just a flashing white underscore. (No os)
This is a notebook so I cannot use an win7 disk. I tried booting from a usb but it displays:

Missing operating system.
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable.
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

I tried setting my hard drive to compatibility but no luck.

Please help me.
Thanks.

USB DVD drive might be the easiest way out - I've never had much luck with USB Windows installs, even on mobo's that support it and ones that have installed Linux on with no problem.

Thought about that. But it means I have to spend $20 just for an outdated netbook. And I waste even more if it doesn't work.
