Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5741 (3 years old)
I used my skullcandy INKD headphones (without mic), but they broke. Now I use the standard samsung headphones (with mic) which I got with my Samsung Wave GT-S8500.

The sound is now really crap. If I play songs with sang, I can't hear it.

If I watch gameplays of people which reduce the sound of the game so people could understand him, it is visa versa. So I hear the game music really loud and I almost can't hear the voice of the person.

Now when my palm is on the left corner of my laptop (where the headphone jack is), it is making weird noise (like a disturbance). If I press hard on that spot the music quality is good and I can hear the voices.

It just started when I plugged in my samsung headphones.
Can I use my mic jack instead of my headphone jack? maybe it will fix it.

Ps the samsung headphone is not broken, it is working 100% correctly on my phone and other devices

HI
Unfortunately you cannot use the mic jack for the headphones as the mic jack is for input signals and the headphone jack is for output signals.
It sounds like you may have a connection problem with the headphone jack.
Is the phone you use Apple by the way,if it is then the headphones will have a 4 pole jack while your laptop requires a 3 pole jack.
If it is the correct jack and if your previous headphones worked okay then the jack on your samsung ones may be dirty or slightly undersized.
Contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol is the best way to clean the jack.
If you can, try another headset in the laptop if that is ok then the samsungs are at fault ,if it is an undersized jack you may be able to fix this by getting a headphone extension lead.

Hello. I had the same problem with my nokia headphones. If you move a little bit out the jack (slowly), you will find the perfect position to use them. It's enough just 1 or 2 mm.
Hope my comment is usefull if u didn't solve it yet.
