Hi,

For months I have been connecting my laptop to my TV via a VGA cable, but just recently it's stopped working. I go to inputs, and where 'PC' is usually lit up and clickable, it isn't. The laptop beeps and recognizes that it is connected; it's the TV that won't. I've tried the usual turning everything off, disconnecting everything, etc, multiple times. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Keep unplugging things and cross my fingers?

Thank you so much!

If you connect and disconnect the cable every time, then you run the risk of weakening the solder that holds the connector to the PC board in the TV.
I know these can be very tight fits!
You could try a new cable.... but if the TV circuit board/connector is damaged then that won't help!
Where you say you go to inputs. is that on the TV or the PC?

have you tried connecting to a different tv set?is there any other slot such as dvi or hdmi that you could try?
