Im looking to get a laptop that can run minecraft at 30 fps. I would like it to have a 15.6" screen. I would like to get some suggestion on what im am looking for.

Solution

my friend has that laptop, it's awesome. the best part is it has expansion room for a 2nd hard drive, so you can add an ssd (the hard drive that comes with it is very slow). so in short... yes, that laptop will do what you're looking for. the best thing about that laptop is the battery lasts forever.

an a10 can do it as long as its not a 1080p monitor, at 15" it will probably be 1366x768 resolution, at that resolution an a10-4600m will easily hit 30-60fps in pretty much any game you want.

^ Do what this guy says. I'm running an A10 right now and I get around 80-100 FPS on Minecraft at 1366x768 resolution.

While indeed the laptop has an A10, it is underclocked which means it's power output is reduced (this is to reduce heat). It would be slower than a standard A10 but would still work fine.

only if you get ram limited. i doubt you will be though. i don't ever break 3gb of ram use on my 8gb desktop, i don't see you eating up 6gb of ram even if 1 is split off for the gpu.

Windows 8 uses 1GB and most games don't go over 4GB, leaving you 1GB for whatever you need. If you do upgrade get very fast RAM like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231708 the A10 does not have it's own RAM for gaming, it uses system memory. So the faster the system memory, the better gaming.
