Realtek HD Audio Manager Issue

I'm using Realtek HD Audio Manager presumably part of the drivers for my motherboard's audio, but at seemingly random intervals the notification area keeps coming up with "You just unplugged a device from the audio jack." The only audio I am using is going through an HDMI cable and nothing is being unplugged. This message is a bit irritating and I would appreciate any help in finding a solution. Thanks.

Try opening the Realtek Audio Manager and clicking on the folder icon on the right side. A dialog box should open allowing you to disable notifications. That doesn't explain why it is happening, but it might fix the issue.

This would be a suitable workaround although I just noticed that when this message comes up the audio does stop working for about a second.

EDIT: No it doesn't, nevermind.
