I'm currently in the market for a new laptop. I have been considering a SAGER/Clevo build, but I am also open to the idea of purchasing consumer laptops (i.e., Asus ROG, Samsung Ultrabooks, etc). I am NOT in a huge rush, so if something that fits my requirements is coming out this fall, please let me know

1. What is your budget?
$1000 - $1500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
14" minimum, 15.6" preferable. I want something moderately portable, as I will be using it to lecture university classes.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1920 x 1080 required.

4. Processor?
Haswell I7 prefered. Not willing to do 3rd gen.

5. How much battery life do you need?
~4 hours. I would prefer longer, but it is not a deal breaker.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop?
Primarily a research laptop. Games aren't a priority, but I do play the occasional non GPU intensive game (i.e., Diablo 3)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photoshop, Video Editing, Academic presentations. One major requirement is a good keyboard. I am going to be writing my Ph.D. dissertation on it - I don't want a crappy keyboard.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
128gb SSD + ~750gb (7200 RPM prefered)

9. Brands like / dislike
Refuse - Acer / Apple / Dell
Open to the rest. Good experiences with Asus in the past.

10. What country do you live in?
Canada

Thanks for the recommendation, but I am quite firm on the specs I mentioned. The laptop you linked is not appealing for a few reasons: no 1920 screen, no ssd / slow drive, 17" screen. I simply don't want to modify an existing build.
