Hello all,
I'm sure this question gets asked all the time, or maybe it's such a noob question that it doesn't...I don't know anything about sound systems since I've had to wear headphones all of my adult life (someone's always sleeping in the next room, wherever I live) but I finally want to get my own sound system. I saw a recommendation for the Sony HTCT260 Sound Bar Home Theater System as a good starter piece, and I was wondering if/how I could hook it up to my PC? The PC is currently using a 46" Samsung HDTV as a monitor, but I haven't figured out how to use the TV's speakers for PC audio yet.

Sorry if this is such an elementary question for you all, but I want to know what the sound system is capable of before I drop $300 or more on it. Thanks in advance!

Yes, my PC has the typical audio jacks on the back. I'm using the default motherboard ports since my X-Fi Fatal1ty died some months back.

As long as there's ports for all the speakers, you should be fine.
