I'm buying one of these laptops for college in which I expect I'll be doing some CAD work. But I wouldn't be considering these laptops as much if I wasn't up for some gaming in my free time. I mostly play strategy games (e.g. Empire Total War, Shogun 2) and I know they are resource intensive. I'm looking forward to a computer that will be able to handle Rome total war 2 on high settings but won't break the bank.

tl;dr Will the SLI trump a single GTX 765m in both CAD and games like Total war, or will it suffer micro stutter or incompatibility? Plus is one of these laptops signifficantly better than the other in terms of quality, noise, battery life, reliabillity, eic.

I also appreciate other suggestions in the same price range (max $1200).

Thank you.
