i understand you won't get much for gaming at this price. but what laptop would be the best for this price. I would like to be able to run games like skyrim and bf3 but i dont mind playing on low/medium settings. Plus i would like to have usb 3.0. Thanks

I think for budget price the AMD graphics chipset is significantly better than the HD4000.

I think your best bet would be to go online and search for laptops with a dedicated graphics card. Sadly £550 is very low for gaming. A laptop with HD4000 CPU based graphics can run skyrim on low and and bf3 also on low. I see bf3 is not very playable with 20-30 fps at 720p.
