Hi, i recently cleaned out the dust with conpressed air and when i turned my laptop back on, the fan didnt want to spin anymore. I have a acer aspire 5741g laptop. This also happened on another laptop which is slightly older. A hp dv1000. Is there a way to fix the dead laptop fan without disassembling the laptop?
Thanks

Solution
Probably not without disassembling or replacing the fan, the connector may have been knocked loose, or worse case, you wrecked the bearings with the compressed air. Compressed air can actually accelerate the fans beyond their rated speeds and damage them, if you are cleaning them out with air, it is often recommended to hold the blades in place with a toothpick or other non-conducive material.
