hello.. i am planning to purchase a budget laptop for my brother. nowadays there are immense models of lappies available..i just wanted to ask which combination of cpu+gpu should i go for?
my brother is a new computer sciences student so he will need some programming apps like visual studio etc to run smoothly, also office apps , autocad etc...
now i dont know about all that so i ask for advice here.. and actually i myself would like some gaming too so please consider these things together.. the options are
1. i3-3110m +intel hd 4000 +4gb ram
2. i5-3210m +intel hd 4000 +2gb ram
3. amd a10 4600m +amd 7670m ddr3 +4gb ram

i think the 3rd option will be best as it is a quad core which will help with the autocad programs and it has 4gb of RAM which the 2nd option does not have, which means more programs can be open and it has a good GPU for gaming

yes i will use it for moderate gaming..but thats not the main purpose though.. as is said it would be used by my brother..

thanks a lot for the reply.. but what if the i5 one was available with 4gb ram?? would it be better considering the graphic card too

heres my new configurations of laptops.. actually i read reviews once again.. and i think i can afford the foll configurations too..:
1. i5-3230m + amd 8670m [HP Pavilion 15-e034TX]
2. i5-3337u + nvidia 740m [Sony VAIO Fit 15E F15218SN/W]
3. i5-3230m+ nvidia 740m [Lenovo Ideapad Z500 (59-380480)
now the lenovo one has some bad reviews about overheating, bettery life, brightness, etc.. but it gives better performance than all others. so would it be good to take it at the cost of it other details??

thanks a lot ..can you tell why you placed the HP one over the Sony viao? cuz in one processor is better and in the other graphic card is. I myself am inclined to the hp one but I just want to make sure. thanks.
