For the past few days i've been looking for some new headsets to replace my current crappy one and im having trouble deciding wether to buy a USB headset or just go with a normal one.I dont have a dedicated sound card,i use the onboard one in my ASUS M5A97 R2.0 mobo (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/#specifications)
I would mainly use it for gaming and some music.
The ones that i found and looked cool:

Thermaltake Shock One ( costs a little bit too much for me, but if the built in soundcard will make a big difference in sound quality then the price doesnt matter)

Razer Electra

Corsair Vengeance 1300

Please tell me which type of headset will provide me with the better sound quality(i mean usb or jack),i know i wont get perfect quality for this price, but i want to get the best out of my money. Also suggest any headsets that you think are great and affordable for me.

Thanks!

I'd go for corsair out of those models. I've had good experience with their 1500 / 2000 vengeance line too.

if you want another option, steelseries makes a good budget headset, the siberia V2. really good surround sound for its price, and the mic, while small, is actually decent.
