14" and smaller, must be portable for school, thickness doesn't matter however

check out lenovos business line of laptops. The t430 and the t430s(slim) are really powerful and rugged laptops. You can get ~15hours battery life with a 9cell battery and you can even add a slice battery to get a total of 30hours. I believe the standard battery gives about 7 hrs. This is impressive considering they are not weak ultra books and feature i5/i7 cpus
