Ok, so there are some applications on my computer that I don't want people to use, and I can't put a password on Windows due to certain reasons. What I need is a software that works like AppLock on Android or something , which is basically asking you for a pincode or a pattern everytime you open it. Is such an application available?

Solution
If your parents are not "computer-savvy": Move items from Start Menu somewhere else (or put them into a ZIP file), and use them from this "somewhere else".

Many programs have an option on install:
"Install for this user or install for all users"

Create multiple accounts. You, Guest 1, Guest 2...
Only install for You.

A further question is - Why?

Nah man. That isn't my problem. I am the only one who uses my computer, but I really don't want my parents to open up certain things when they snoop about with my computer. And I have been expressly forbidden to put a password on Windows. So yeah. Kinda complicated.

Well..if your parents are snooping around on it, then it's not really 'your' computer, is it?
Since I won't assist in you getting around your parental restrictions, I won't tell you how *I'd* do it.

But there are ways to do it...

I've already tried TrueCrypt, and it's a bit too bulky for what I want. Anyway, don't bother. I've figured out something.
