I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y500.
I went into the BIOS and enabled IGFX (just wanted to see if I could get WIDI working) and now it won't even boot to POST. All it does is to power up for less than 2 seconds, then it shuts down. It repeats this process on it's own continously until it at some point manages to not turn off, then it just sits there doing nothing - no screen, no nothing.

Things I've done to try and fix it:
- Pulled out the CMOS battery for 20 minutes (battery and power plug pulled too).
- Disassembled the entire thing and tried to start it, then inserted one component and then tried to start it again. I repeated this process until it was completely assembled.
- Tried holding down the power button, function button and OneKey recovery button.

Nothing works. I'm at the point of sending it in for repairs.

Taking out the cmos battery might not be enough to clear it. Is there a jump gate swith near the battery marked cls ? if there is you need to take the battery out again and move the conector to the other two pins. Look it up on you tube. move it from pin one and two to pins two and three. Leave for a few secs and put it back again. Then put the battery back in. See if it worked. .

There are no Clear CMOS jumpers. Actually, there are no jumpers/switches/pins at all. I've checked the entire surface inch for inch, but alas, nothing.
