Hello everyone. I recently bought a Vaio E series laptop (SVE14a25cn)
It has a great battery life but i'm confused if keeping it on charge always(even when it is full) will spoil the battery life.
90% of my usage is at home.
Does overcharging spoil the batteries and cycles?
Battery type:- VGP-BPS26A Lithium-ion battery.
Please help.Thank you.

I don't think so. It would be worse to use your laptop on battery when you don't have to. That would put cycles on your battery, exactly what you are trying to avoid.

The way laptop power systems work, is they power the system from the DC jack. If the DC jack has no power, it falls over to the battery. Keeping the battery charged and not used is better than using up battery cycles. You can't "overcharge" the battery.

Thank You Tigerg :) It makes complete sense. Will avoid using on battery when not required. :)
