I recently switched from XP to Win 7 Pro 32 bit OS on a newer computer. Not interested in XP Virtualization. I'm one of the many people who miss Outlook Express. Thunderbird seems to be the alternative program. Not interested in using a program within a browser. Anyway, I posted this common problem/complaint on the Thunderbird Forum and no ones has replied. Maybe there isn't a solution? The fonts in many emails are very tiny and difficult for me to read. Looking for a way to automatically make them bigger. Instructions on the Mozilla site about changing font sizes for incoming email are very confusing, and when following them, nothing works anyway. I've installed the Theme Font and Size Changer add-on, but that has no effect on incoming email fonts. The only thing that seems to work is using the crtl and + sign. Anyone found a solution?
Thanks.

Solution
There seems to be an issue changing font sizes when the encoding is set to "Unicode" Try setting the encoding to "Western" and see if that helps. "Tools/Options/Display/Advanced"

Thanks for the reply.
Outgoing and incoming mail are already set at Western ISO 8859-1.
I'd be glad to look at any other suggestions.
