Okay I have quite a bit of research and have narrowed it down to these 6 programs. Now I am going to buy one of these, so please no "oh get free avg" posts. I'm in the camp that would rather pay and support a quality application.

Now from various review sites and independent testing sites, this is what I have come up with. Not in any particular order, just listing them.

1. Avast! Internet Security
2. ESET Smart Security
3. Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security
4. Bitdefender Internet Security
5. Comodo Internet Security Complete
6. Vipre Internet Security

So just pick one or a few and list a reason why over the others. Or you can bash on some if there are legitimate problems with it.

Peace and Blessings! :)

ESET, Bitdefender, Avast! are quality ones. Trend Micro is good at blocking but has a lot of false positives sometimes.

I say Microsoft Security Essentials. It is VERY light weight and free. It also has an install base much much larger than any other AV program, and collects samples and heuristics from all of those computers.

Between this and the keygen topic I love your sense of humor :]

Buitdefender comes in on top, along with F-Secure, G Data, Kaspersky, and Comodo.

MSE stinks. Period. Was "ok" at launch, but MSFT never put that much work into it.
