I already have my eye on Lenovo Z5850 ( 2.9 , 8GB 1TB ) for £500 but am unsure of its compatibility with SSDs , so would be interested to hear what the best other alternatives ( if there are any ) might be .

If need be i'd probably be willing to stretch £50 over my 600 too.

I have two options:-

The Lenovo Y510p,
and the all new MSI GX70.

The lenovo is less than $900,
while the MSI GX70 is currently $1300 (since its new)!!!
P.s:- the lenovo Y510p was also in the $1300 price range when it first came out.

My suggestion is........
Go for the msi gx70 ryt away.
If price is too high, try waitin till it reduces.
The HD 8970m in the gx70 is far more powerful than the GT 750m in Y510p.
So, do ur research well!!
And make ur best decision :)

Go to www.pcspecialist.co.uk and in the gaming laptops section they have many to choose from i would recommend going for the Optimus IV with a 660m and a good dual core or the lowest quad core i7 for around £700 you can customize the laptop to your liking.

Mainly because of lack of space and power consumption , and the fact I wanted to wait a year or so till the newer CPU / GPU's come down a bit.
