Gaming laptop in UK

Hi everyone, I want to buy a gaming laptop that can run games like Skyrim on high settings at good FPS.

After a lot of research, these two laptops are my preferences:

Lenovo IdeaPad y510p
Toshiba Qosmio x70

They're both pretty similar in terms of specs and price, the Toshiba comes out on top with a better graphics card and a larger screen.

The only problem I found is that these laptops aren't available in the UK yet, they're only available in the US as far as I can tell, and when they do come out in the UK later this year, they're going to be more than double the US price!

Does anyone know if I can buy these laptops in any way, maybe through a re-seller or something, or if not, is there a similar laptop for a similar price that I can buy in the UK that looks good? A toushcreen isn't essential but it would be nice I guess.

This MSI GT70 is almost identical to the Toshiba, but it looks horrendous in my opinion

I wouldn't mind a website where I can build my own laptop either if the laptops look decent.

I don't have a fixed budget, but I'd say it's around £1,000-£1,500.

The 5400 rpm HD cripples both. I'd suggest buying a laptop from a manufacturer that actually "manufacturers" laptops. Neither Toshiba or Lenovo does. The vast majority of laptops on the market (94% in 2011) are manufactured by a small handful of Taiwan-based Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), although their production bases are located mostly in mainland China. Major relationships include:

Foxconn sells to Asus, Dell, HP and Apple

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the HDD won't be a problem, I've got a 256gb SSD that I'm going to replace the HDD with.

RAM isn't a problem either as I've got a spare 4GB RAM that I could use if any suggested laptop has below 8GB RAM on it.

Edit: This Clevo Vortex IV can be assembled to the same specs as the Toshiba. Although the price is higher, the build quality will most likely be better and it's available in my country now so I don't have to wait til the end of the year.

A quick question (I doubt anyone will see it at the bottom of the threat but I'll ask anyway).
Is it worth spending £100 to upgrade the processor from 4700MQ to 4800MQ? The price difference is minimal but will there be a noticeable performance increase?
Also, is a 4GB Radeon HD 8970M better than a GeForce GTX770M graphics card? The Radeon is £50 more but I'm not sure which is better.

All you need to know. I like the PCSpecialist one which are basically Clevo machines. Overclockers.co.uk do them as well if your in a hurry and don't mind spending a little more
