cursor will not work

i have an asus laptop windows 8 when not logged on my touch pad works and lets me move around on screen/ click, when logged in my cursor will instantly either disappears or just stop responding altogether, any suggestions?

Do you have more than one user for login, if so, boot and login as other user, if not try booting into SAFE mode with networking and see if it works....could be a lot of things, first that comes to mind is Malware or something affecting you account/permissions... If it works in safe mode, download and run MalwareBytes and let us know
