Hello Gurus!

I'm torned between logitech z906 and edifier da5000 pro, which of this two are better in performance? (Will be used for music, games, movies for PC)

Also I'm thinking of getting dedicated soundcard Asus Xonar DGX to be exact.

If above items aren't good can you recommend me one that is in the price range of $250-$300 that have a very good bass? Something that will make my neighbors angry.. :D

Thanks!!

going with a 2.1 home theater speaker setup with bookshelf speakers, large sub and an amplifier will vastly outpower a computer 5.1 set. however you do lose out on surround sound.

i personally use a 5.1 home theater setup and there is quite a big jump in quality and output between the two. this is not to say that computer speakers are bad.

a set like the z906 should be able to rattle some paintings on the walls or cause the neighbors to get angry. my older (and cheaper) logitech 5.1 set certainly could. sound quality is typically good for the price.

so.. its down to a choice... do you want better quality sound, more boom or good quality, adequate loudness and surround sound capabilities?

i can speak good things about logitech but i...

For a music heavy set up,the worst thing is to splash your cas on 5.1 PC/Multimedia fare? Hit a quality 2.1 and with $300

BIC F12 active sub
Topping TP22 amp
Micca MB42 bookshelf speaker

if going new
