Headset vs Microphone audio

Hi, I'm planning on recording game play using Dxtory and I'm not sure what to record the audio with. I have the yeti microphone by blue which is what I was planning on using for audio, however, I just bought the astro a40 headset and I was wondering which would prove to have better audio quality?

Have you tested them both, which sounds clearer, more crisp? I think for convenience of being able to speak and listen at the same time I would choose the headset.

I just bought the headset today only to realize that I might not actually need my microphone after paying more than double for the headset.. I'll have my pc by tonight so I haven't even tested the headset so I don't know how it will compare the the microphone.

hmm ok, I recommend you test them both. If you have a webcam you could test them both in Skype by calling the Echo / Sound Test Service. Or you could download some voice recording software, such as, Audacity.
